Why is Times New Roman the default font on Microsoft Word, and so many other programs?

Every single time I type something up, I have to go up to the font menu, and change it to Garamond. Times New Roman is just so unpleasant to look at now. There must be a way to permanently change my default font. Times New Roman...ugh. And why do so many teachers require papers to be turned in using this font? This is so mind-boggling. If I ever have students turn in papers, I'll require them to use fonts besides Times New Roman. It's time to put this font out of it's misery.


Why do people lean on cars that do not belong to them? I could totally understand leaning on your car while waiting or just hanging out. But for the life of me, I just can't understand why someone would lean on a car that isn't their own.


Driving from 3rd and Berendo to 4th and Berendo (one block), I saw six cars stopped in the street with their hazards on. My personal record right there. Koreatown, who loves you, baby?


It's been on my mind recently how much I dislike the Foo Fighters. I mean, what is the point of their music, really? I always compare really annoying sounds to their music, like I ask myself, hmm, would I rather listen to this car alarm going off for 4 minutes or a Foo Fighter song? Or would I rather listen to 3 year old kids banging on stuff with metal spoons for five minutes, or a Foo Fighter song?
